Clinical Testing & Dermatological Approval
In our skincare products, we use specific, evidence-based testing protocols to assess skin compatibility and substantiate cosmetic claims.
The language we use reflects the scope and outcome of that testing - clearly and accurately.
DISTINCTIONS WITH A DIFFERENCE
Understanding the Terminology
Dermatologically tested: Indicates that a product has undergone formal skin testing on human volunteers under dermatological supervision.
Dermatologically approved: Means a qualified dermatologist has reviewed the results of that testing and confirmed suitability for use based on the data generated.
Clinically tested: Refers to controlled studies carried out to substantiate cosmetic claims using objective measurement methods.
These terms are not interchangeable, and we use them only where supported by formal evaluation.
WHAT WE TEST FOR
96-Hour Dermatological Patch Testing
All skincare formulations undergo a 96-hour dermatological patch test on human volunteers.
This testing is carried out under dermatological supervision by independent, accredited third-party laboratories.
The assessment is designed to evaluate:
- Skin tolerance
- Potential for irritation or sensitisation
- Overall compatibility with repeated exposure
The results of this testing are reviewed by a qualified dermatologist, who confirms whether the product is suitable for use on human skin.
RIGOROUS ADHERENCE TO COMPLIANCE
Claims Substantiation & Clinical Evaluation
Where cosmetic claims are made, these are supported by existing structured clinical or instrumental studies.
Before any claim is used, we undertake thorough research to ensure it is:
- Relevant to the formulation
- Supported by appropriate research
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
All Our Skincare Products Are:
DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED & APPROVED
Assessed under dermatological supervision by a UK registered dermatologist
INDEPENDENTLY CLINICALLY TESTED
Testing is conducted by third-party laboratories, not in-house
SAFE & SUITABLE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
Evaluated for skin tolerance and compatibility, including irritation potential
OUR APPROACH
Why This Matters
Many skincare brands use testing language without clearly explaining what it means or how it was achieved.
We take a more considered approach. We use precise language because we believe trust is built through clarity, not exaggeration.
Our testing is conducted in accordance with UK and EU cosmetic regulations.
This means you can choose our products knowing that:
- Skin compatibility has been properly evaluated
- Claims are supported by evidence, not assumption
- Care has been taken at every stage before launch
